In the second half of day you will experience the cheapest trip to Africa. In the past, the Zoo´s were founded as animal menageries, where wild and exotic animals were exhibited to amuse the public. Little was known about the animal´s needs, which often died young and without any breeding. Today´s Zoological gardens play an important role in the field of conservation, research, education, and recreation. The Zoo in Dvůr Králové specializes in African animals. The most remarkable species we can find there are the African wild dog, cheetah, pard, orangutang, Cuban crocodile, Liberian hippopotamus, Sumatran rhinoceros, white rhinoceros, African elephant, snow leopard, and gorilla. Worth visiting are the egresses of subungulates (accessible by bus), the pavilion of beasts, the pavilion of bongos, the fish and reptile pavilion (coral world, tropic river), the pavilion of apes, and a unique bird pavilion.
